Money, made readable.

About the publication

Money advice that shows its work

Mintmark exists because most personal finance content is either too thin to act on or too conflicted to trust. We publish the kind of guides we'd hand a younger sibling — then show the math behind every recommendation.

What we believe

Personal finance is not complicated at the level most people need it. Spend less than you earn, keep a cushion, kill expensive debt, buy the whole market cheaply, wait. What's missing isn't information — it's translation. Our job is to take the decisions that quietly determine your financial life and render them in plain English, with real numbers, worked examples, and no condescension.

How we work

Every guide starts as a spreadsheet. Claims get checked against arithmetic before they get written; rates, limits, and rules that move over time are dated and revisited. Writers disclose assumptions, link primary sources where they exist, and say “we don't know” when the honest answer is uncertain. Read the full editorial policy.

How we keep the lights on

Mintmark is free and will stay free. The site earns revenue from display advertising and, on some guides, affiliate commissions when a reader opens an account we already planned to recommend. Advertisers don't read, approve, or influence anything. The whole arrangement is public: how we make money.
